Terms of Use
Last updated 7 August 2026
1. These terms
These terms apply to Manager Cloud — the cloud edition of Manager accounting software, sold at manager.cloud and run on your own yourname.manager.cloud address. "We" and "us" mean Manager.io, who provide the service. "You" mean the person or organisation the account belongs to. By creating an account, starting a free trial or using a cloud server, you accept these terms.
2. Your account
- Give us an email address you control and keep your password and any recovery details secure.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by the users you invite to your cloud server.
- Tell us at support@manager.cloud if you think someone else has access to your account.
- Keep your billing details accurate and up to date.
3. Free trial
New cloud servers start with a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends. If you have not subscribed by then, the server stops and its data may be deleted — see section 6.
4. Subscription and billing
- One flat price per cloud server covers unlimited users and unlimited businesses on that server.
- You can pay monthly or annually, in advance. The annual price is ten times the monthly price.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and charged automatically to your payment method each period until you cancel. Prices exclude any taxes that apply where you are.
- We may change prices. If we do, we will tell you before the change takes effect on your subscription, and you can cancel if you don't want to continue.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend or stop the cloud server until it is paid.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from the customer portal, with no penalty and no notice period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your cloud server keeps running until then. We do not refund the remaining part of a period, because you keep your access for all of it.
6. Your data
The accounting data you put into your cloud server is yours. You can download all of it at any time, and we suggest you do so before you cancel or delete anything.
We access the contents of your server only where it is needed to run and maintain the service, to help you with support you have asked for, or where the law requires it.
When a subscription ends — by cancellation, non-payment, or a trial that was not converted — the cloud server is stopped and its data may be deleted. We do not commit to keeping it for any particular length of time, so download your data first. Deleting a cloud server in the customer portal removes it and its data straight away.
7. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully. Don't try to break into it, disrupt it, overload it, or work around its limits or security; don't use it to store or send malware or unlawful material; and don't resell access to a cloud server in a way that presents it as your own hosted product.
8. The software
While your subscription is active you may use the hosted Manager software for your own business or your clients' books. The software itself, and everything in the service other than your data, stays ours. Features change over time as the software is updated; your server is updated automatically.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available and to back it up, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't offer a service-level guarantee. Maintenance, updates and occasional downtime are part of a hosted service.
Support is by email at support@manager.cloud. We help with the software and your account — we don't give accounting, tax or legal advice.
10. No warranty
The service is provided as is. Manager is a tool for keeping records: you remain responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for your own accounting and tax obligations, and for keeping your own copies of your data. Nothing here excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or corrupted data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that hasn't been paid for. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right or download your data.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with the date it was last updated. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
